Quality has a flavor.
You can taste a shortcut. So we don’t take them — not in the beans we buy, the way we roast, or how fast a bag gets to your door.
Bean Hollow is a family-owned roastery and drive-thru café on Route 11 in Marion, Pennsylvania. Two roasters, one bakery case, and a stubborn belief that smooth beats bitter.

Small batches, no shortcuts
Every bag is roasted to order in Marion, rested, sealed, and shipped within days. Nothing sits on a warehouse shelf waiting for you.
Smooth beats bitter
We roast low and slow so the cup is full-flavored and easy on the stomach. Low-acid isn’t a special line for us — it’s every roast we make.
Neighbors first
We started as a drive-thru for Franklin County. Everything we ship is made the same way we make it for the folks at the window.
Not a business plan. A friend, a kitchen counter, and a machine that had clearly seen some things.
A good friend walked into Milton’s house carrying a used espresso machine and said exactly that. That was all it took. The nuances, the flavors, everything a bean could do — he was hooked.
Coffee as a business hung in the back of his mind for years. The timing never felt right — until a spot opened up in a roaster-training course in Ohio, and it suddenly did.
He came home from Ohio knowing how to coax deep flavor out of a bean and, without a second thought, bought a roaster. The first small batches came off the drum in Marion that year.
Trenton watched a few batches and couldn’t help himself. He bought a roaster of his own, earned a spot on the crew, and now churns out batch after batch. Turns out the love of coffee runs in the family.
Franklin County’s first local, friendly coffee drive-thru, right next to Country Breeze Farm Market. Lattes, cappuccinos, non-java options, and a bakery case filled every morning — for the school run, the commute, and the 2 p.m. slump.
The same coffee we pour at the window, now roasted the week it ships and sent anywhere in the U.S. — or delivered on a schedule you set.
Most of the questions we get aren’t about the coffee — they’re about the roasting. Fair enough. Here’s the whole process, start to finish.
